Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural therapeutic approach that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to help access the subconscious mind, where lasting change can occur.
It is a non-invasive approach when practiced by a qualified professional. It works alongside your own natural ability to relax and focus.
You are always in control during hypnosis, you can open your eyes, speak, or move at any time, although most people choose to remain relaxed as the process is calming and enjoyable. Hypnosis is not mind control - you cannot be made to do anything against your will.
Most people describe it as deeply relaxing, similar to daydreaming or being absorbed in a book or film. You may feel calm, focused, and refreshed afterwards.
Hypnotherapy can support issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, confidence, habits, fears, sleep issues, and emotional wellbeing, to name but a few. During your initial consultation, we'll explore all of your needs together, so your sessions are fully tailored to support your goals.
Firstly, congratulations on taking the first step towards happiness.
Your first session includes a relaxed conversation about your goals, an explanation of the process, and your hypnotherapy session tailored specifically to you.
If we are working together on-line, you’ll need a private room and time where you are unlikely to be disturbed. Good enough internet connection and a device that has a microphone and camera enabled. Laptop, desktop, mobile phone and tablet are all suitable. You can use headphones if you choose to.
I understand that life can sometimes get in the way.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. With this notice, I’ll be happy to rearrange your appointment. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to a cancellation fee, as the time has been reserved especially for you.
In the early weeks, regular sessions help build momentum and support lasting change. While it’s absolutely okay to miss the occasional session, consistency early on can make a real difference to your progress.
Yes, online hypnotherapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions. Many clients find they relax even more in the comfort of their own home.
You can absolutely choose a mixture of online and in-person sessions, this flexibility allows your therapy to fit around your lifestyle while still supporting consistent progress.
That’s completely okay. Choosing therapy is a personal decision, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and ready.
If you decide to cancel before your first session, fees will be refunded with at least 24 hours’ notice. There’s no pressure or obligation, your wellbeing always comes first.
The number of sessions varies from person to person and depends on on many factors such as the issue you are coming for help with and your individual goals and needs.
With the exception of specific issues such as phobias or stopping smoking, most clients typically notice results within 5–12 sessions. Some people experience positive changes even sooner. During your initial consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and create a plan that feels right for you.
I understand that committing to therapy is a big step, so I want you to feel comfortable and informed, that is why I offer a free, no pressure initial consultation.
The cost of your hypnotherapy depends how many sessions you have and whether you decide to buy single sessions or a package of sessions.
Before you decide if hypnotherapy is right for you, we’ll have a 45-60 minute free online consultation, so you know you’re making the right decision, we can discuss the options available to you, and there will be no pressure, just support and guidance.
